According to the “Europe’s Leading Start-Up Hubs” ranking by the Financial Times and Statista, SpinLab is one of Europe’s leading startup hubs. As part of the SpinLab Group, SpinLab in Leipzig is embedded in a wider network of innovation and startup initiatives, including RootCamp in Hanover, ExciteLab in Dresden, and the consulting company BITROAD. Since its founding, more than 200 startups have participated in the SpinLab Group’s programs and collectively raised over €655 million in investment. In 2025, the group was recognized with the “Startup Ecosystem Star Award” in the “Exceptional Industry Support” category, awarded by the European Commission and the OECD. In addition to supporting startups, the SpinLab Group helps companies collaborate with startups through venture clienting and supports the implementation of innovation and digitalization processes.
Tasks
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing diverse projects across different departments
- Play an active role in preparing and running our exclusive SpinLab events, from small community meetups to high-profile networking sessions
- Communication with partners, mentors and start ups
- Help keep our internal systems and databases clean and up-to-date, ensuring smooth
- Keep our vibrant workspace running smoothly by handling daily office management tasks and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our team and guests
- Work closely with our core team and provide hands-on, everyday support to the innovative startups currently in our program
Requirements
- You are highly motivated to work 20 hours per week, to dive actively into our projects
- You love taking initiative, and enjoy actively tackling new challenges rather than just waiting for instructions
- You work resourcefully and can drive tasks forward on your own, while knowing when to align with the team
- You are a quick learner, which allows you to grasp complex topics quickly
- You are fluent English (written and spoken) in best case also German, enabling you to communicate confidently with our international team and startups
- Ideally, you have some initial exposure to the startup and entrepreneurship world—whether through your studies, a previous internship, or personal interest
