Your Mission
Events are one of the most important ways we meet our customers face to face, from large industry conferences across Europe to our own Mercell customer events.
As Student Assistant (Event Marketing), you will join our Group Marketing team and work side by side with our Event Manager on everything that turns an idea into a fully planned event: finding the right venue, getting the invitation out, keeping the website current and making sure every practical detail is in place.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving SaaS marketing team, and you will collaborate closely with colleagues in Sales, Customer Success and Content Marketing. You will get real ownership of your own tasks, see the direct results of your work, and build practical event marketing experience alongside your studies.
Core Responsibilities
- Research and shortlist venues, locations and suppliers for Mercell events across our European markets, and gather quotes and practical details
- Keep event pages on our website up to date, from first announcement through to post-event follow-up
- Support invitations and registrations: guest lists, reminders, sign-up tracking and attendance reporting
- Help prepare event materials and logistics, including booth items, giveaways, name badges, packing lists and on-site checklists
- Coordinate with Sales, Customer Success and Content Marketing so each event has the right people, content and follow-up in place
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's programme, ideally within marketing, communications, business or a related field, with time left in your studies
- Available around 20 hours per week, with flexibility around key event dates
- Structured and detail-oriented, comfortable keeping track of many small moving parts at once
- Strong written and spoken English
- Comfortable with everyday digital tools and motivated to learn our website CMS and marketing platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Danish, German or another Nordic language
- Hands-on experience from student organisations, part-time work or internships where you helped plan events
- Familiarity with a CMS, CRM or marketing automation tool
- Curiosity about B2B SaaS marketing and how events create business results
- A collaborative, service-minded approach and a willingness to jump in where help is needed
