Product Safety Curricular Internship
This role in summary
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of the most dynamic regulatory environments in Europe. You will work closely with experts in Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety, helping to shape how innovative household appliances and consumer products meet future European requirements.
We're looking for a candidate who is eager to explore the intersection of safety, innovation, digital, cybersecurity and sustainability. In this role, you will help monitor emerging European legislation, assess regulatory trends, and support compliance and market access strategies for household appliances and consumer products.
From product safety and environmental requirements to circular economy policies and digital product information, you'll be involved in projects that contribute to a safer and more sustainable future.
Your responsibilities will include
- EU Policy & Regulatory Intelligence
Monitor and analyse emerging European and international legislation, policy initiatives and regulatory developments, assessing their potential impact on consumer products, sustainability and market access.
- European Affairs & Stakeholder Engagement
Support regulatory and public affairs activities by contributing to interactions with European institutions, industry associations and standardization bodies, gaining first-hand exposure to the legislative process.
- Product Safety & Compliance Strategy
Assist in the preparation of product safety assessments, compliance reviews and internal guidance, helping ensure alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.
- Standards Development & Technical Representation
Contribute to the analysis of technical standards and regulatory documents, supporting discussions within national and international standardization committees, including activities within the Italian Electrotechnical Committee (CEI).
- Regulatory Insights & Communication
Prepare executive briefings, presentations and regulatory updates, translating complex technical and legislative developments into actionable insights for business, R&D and leadership teams.
- Data & Regulatory Knowledge Management
Support the maintenance of regulatory intelligence tools and databases, ensuring effective monitoring of legislative developments and compliance obligations across markets.
Minimum requirements
- Currently studying in a master's degree in Electronics, Chemical, Management Engineering, or related scientific or technical area.
- Fluent in Italian and good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Interest in Product Compliance, Public Policy and technical standardization
- Ability to analyse complex information and communicate findings in a clear and structured manner
- Attention to detail, teamworking, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
