Guardian Glass is seeking a GL Accountant Intern (Revenue & Rebates) to join our finance team in Katowice, Poland

What You Will Do
- Support accounting processes related to revenue recognition, customer rebates, and invoicing activities.
- Record and process revenue, rebate, and customer-related accounting transactions in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare rebate calculations and perform analyses to ensure accurate customer settlements.
- Monitor and support invoicing processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Perform account reconciliations related to revenue, rebates, and accounts receivable balances.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliation and reporting activities.
- Support month-end close processes and assist in the preparation of financial reports.
- Prepare reports, analyses, and supporting documentation for internal and external audit requirements.
- Collect, verify, and maintain supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance of revenue-related transactions.
- Partner with Sales, Controlling, and Finance teams to resolve revenue-related issues and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
- Participate in initiatives focused on process improvement, standardization, and operational excellence across financial processes.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience in Revenue Accounting, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, or other finance and accounting functions.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and revenue recognition processes.
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, and month-end close activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes of financial variances.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Professional proficiency in English.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in revenue accounting, rebate administration, or customer invoicing processes within a multinational environment.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and customer rebate programs.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
- Experience supporting internal and external audits.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and data analysis tools.
- Experience with process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives.
- Understanding of financial controls and compliance requirements.
- Progress toward or completion of a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Experience working in a shared services or global finance organization.
